JDS was incorporated in 1986, initially providing technical consultancy services and technology transfer to major in coal, power and steel sectors. For the last twenty years JDS are in the field of Hydraulic Engineering and Material Handling. JDS has two collaborations / tie-up with Zemag GmbH, Germany. JDS has diversified into Software Development since 2003 and has worked in Japan for development of Telecom and Web Application software. JDS now actively pursuing marketing of software projects in the fast growing global market. JDS has developed its own 30,000 sq. ft. work center in the Salt Lake Software Development Zone, Kolkata, India.

Successfully executed the largest coal handling plant in India at Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in Southern India. JDS has a thriving marketing agency department which represents companies from Germany, UK and USA in engineering products and services.
